Comment la ville compacte, la ville intelligente et démocratique répond-elle au niveau local à des changements et des enjeux qui se jouent à l’échelle globale ?
Le nouveau tram est une réponse infrastructurelle et institutionnelle à ces transformations. Il étend le centre-ville jusqu’au Grand-Saconnex, dessert les organisations internationales qui dépendent de l’aéroport, et offre à la population du Grand Genève une alternative aux transports individuels.
Mais comment est-ce que cette infrastructure va s’intégrer au tissu urbain ? Peut-elle encourager l’interaction au niveau local ? Comment la population peut-elle se l’approprier ?
Le projet d'extension du tram des Nations sur la route de Ferney servira de base de réflexion. Cet atelier ouvert à tous portera sur la manière dont les collectivités publiques, les acteurs économiques, les organisations internationales et les habitants du Grand Genève peuvent co-créer un système de mobilité intégrant les enjeux locaux, régionaux et globaux.

How does a compact, intelligent and democratic city respond locally to changes and challenges that are also global ?
The new tram extension represents an infrastructural and institutional response to these changes. It will connect the city center to Grand-Saconnex, serving the international organisations that also rely on the airport whilst at the same time offering an alternative to individual transport for residents in Greater Geneva.
How will this infrastructure integrate with the urban fabric ? Could it encourage local interaction ? How can people appropriate it ?
Open to all, this workshop takes the new extension of the tram from Nations along the route de Ferney as an opportunity to reflect on how public authorities, economic actors, international organisations and residents of Greater Geneva can co-create a mobility system that integrates local, regional and global challenges.
