Round table
Experts with experience from the United Nations, WHO and Save the Children will explore the threats to children in crisis situations. In the face of rising conflict and extremism, and the erosion of fundamental freedoms, children are paying a silent but immense price. Mental health, education, human rights: how can we protect children when the very foundations of our societies are shaking? The round table will offer descriptions and analyses of initiatives undertaken to help children in crisis situations. It will offer a critical discussion on the consequences for society and individuals, the urgent need for action and possible paths towards a fairer future for the younger generations and those of tomorrow.

- Farida Shaheed, Special Rapporteur on the right to education, UNOHCHR
- Véronique Aubert, Child Rights, Accountability and Investigation Section, UNOHCHR
- Dévora Kestel, Director, Mental Health, Brain Health and Substance Use, WHO
