With a total length of 1.2 kilometres, 80% of which is underground, the Route des Nations links the motorway to the international organisations district and is closely linked to
the Grand-Saconnex motorway junction built by the Swiss Confederation. Commissioning will take place on the night of 24-25 March 2024.
This new route will allow for:
- A new link between the airport, Place des Nations and the heart of International Geneva
- Complete reconfiguration of the Grand-Saconnex motorway junction
- Extension of the tramway from Place des Nations to Grand-Saconnex and on to Ferney-Voltaire.
