From Boots on the Ground to Bytes in Cyberspace: An AI-Powered Toolkit for the Responsible Use of Technology by the Private (Cyber) Security Sector
This event is part of the AI for Good conference. The sessions will take place right at the State of Geneva’s booth.
This session presents the From Boots on the Ground to Bytes in Cyberspace Toolkit— a practical, AI-enabled platform developed to help private security and cybersecurity companies navigate the regulatory, ethical, and governance frameworks that apply to their use of technology. Originally conceived as a resource for private military and security companies (PMSCs) operating in conflict-affected environments, the Toolkit has evolved into an AI-powered platform built on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology, hosted on Swiss infrastructure to ensure data sovereignty and confidentiality. The live demonstration will show how practitioners in the private (cyber) security sector can use the platform to access ICT4Peace's curated body of policy research, international norms, and responsible-use guidelines — spanning the ICoC, the Montreux Document, and emerging frameworks on cybersecurity and AI. The session is open to all AI for Good participants with an interest in responsible technology governance for the private security sector.
Speaker: Ms. Anne-Marie Buzatu, Executive Director, ICT4Peace Foundation
