This event is part of the AI for Good conference. The sessions will take place right at the State of Geneva’s booth.

We will present an overview of some of the main challenges and opportunities for AI in the field of humanitarian health, looking at the ethical and technical challenges of design and implementation, as well as the real impact AI can have on medical operations in challenging and resource poor contexts.

We will then spotlight the ongoing work in MSF in the medical domain from implementation of commercially available tools to the development of custom models, highlighting one tool, SNAICS, under development with the university of Geneva, which aims to improve recognition of Snakes for better diagnosis and treatment in snake bite envenoming, a neglected tropical disease currently affecting more than 1 billion people globally.

Guests

  • Ms. Libby Ducharme, International Digital Engagement Advisor at MSF International
  • Mr. Max Morel, ETHZ NADEL Senior Lecturer
