The Léman Express will be put into service on 15 December 2019, offering 230 km of railways serving 45 stations in the cantons of Vaud and Geneva and in the French departments of Ain and Haute-Savoie. In Geneva, no fewer than 19 stops and stations will be served by the Léman Express, making it the backbone of public transport both in our canton and throughout the entire region.
The train will as a result boost Geneva's public transport system and promote sustainable mobility. Above all, it is an unprecedented opportunity for the inhabitants of our region to rethink the way they travel, both for work and for leisure. In addition to saving time, the Léman Express will eliminate the border effect felt in our urban area and offer efficient and comfortable travel.
