Enrol my child aged 12 to 15 in a state school
Is your child aged 12 to 15 arriving in Geneva? Does he or she speak little or no French? Would you like to enrol him or her in state school?
In Geneva, the state school for pupils aged 12 to 15 is called the orientation cycle (CO).

Pupils who do not speak French are enrolled in Welcome Classes.

If you live in Geneva, you can enroll your child throughout the school year, between August and June.

- Child's identity document
- Identity documents of both parents
- Proof of the child's health insurance coverage
- Residence certificates from the cantonal office of population and migration for the child and one parent living with the child (https://www.ge.ch/obtenir-attestation-ocpm).
- lease agreement, land register, or purchase deed
- Latest utility bill or proof of move-in from SIG
- School reports for the last two years (current and previous)
