7. Lump-sum taxation permit for third-country national

For whom

You are a national of a non-European country and you plan to settle in Geneva in favor of a lump-sum taxation.

When

Your application must be submitted before you enter Switzerland.

Terms

  • Transfering the center of your interests to Switzerland and spending the majority of the year there.
  • Not engaging in gainful activity in Switzerland other than relating to the management of one's own assets.

The application is submitted to the State Secretariat for Migration for approval.

Attachments

  • form M duly completed, dated and signed
  • color photocopy of a valid passport
  • proof of accomodation if already established or explanations (e.g. intention to purchase, ...)
  • Tax agreement from the cantonal tax administration (AFC)
  • criminal record issued by the country of origin
  • cover letter explaining the reasons why the person wishes to settle in Switzerland
  • written commitment not to carry out gainful activity in Switzerland and commitment to move one's centre of interest there and spend the majority of the year there
  • CV
  • civil status documents (marriage, birth) of family members also concerned by the request

Price

For online applications, payment is made online as well.

For applications sent by post, payment is made by invoice.
