4. COVID certificate for healed persons
People who have been cured of a COVID-19 infection for less than 6 months, documented by a PCR test, and who have not been vaccinated, may order their certificate online. The certificate issued by the Confederation will then be sent to them by post within 4 to 6 days.
* People who have had COVID for less than 6 months and have been cured for more than a month, but whose disease was not documented by a PCR test (e.g. just an antigen test or serology) are not entitled to the 6-month COVID certificate unless they receive one dose of vaccine.
- These people will shortly be contacted by the cantonal medical service. They will have the opportunity, if they wish, to be vaccinated with a single dose, in a simplified and rapid procedure within 2 to 3 weeks.
- People who do not wish to be vaccinated can at all times obtain a short-term certificate following a negative PCR test (valid for 72 hours) or a negative rapid antigen test (valid for 24 hours).
People currently suffering from COVID-19 and undergoing treatment will be able to request a COVID certificate directly from their doctor or from the canton once they have recovered.
The COVID certificate is personal. When checked, the certificate holder may be asked to prove his or her identity by means of an official identification document with a photo (e.g. an identity card). The information on the certificate - surname(s), first name(s), date of birth - should be identical to the information on the identity document.
Upon receipt of your certificate, please check that the data matches. If such is not the case, a new certificate may be requested. A solution for applying for a revised certificate is currently being developed and will be available online on this website.
