11 good reasons for training an apprentice…

The next generation:

Apprentices form the next professional, qualified and effective generation.
Thus they guarantee a future not only for your company but
also for the economic sector you operate in.

Customers:

By training apprentices you will learn about what
is going on with young people, trends, their aspirations and
concerns. Put another way, you will have a direct link to tomorrow’s
customers.

Development

Through your commitment to training you
are making a clear statement of your confidence in the
future and providing a positive impulse to young people and to
the dynamism and development of your region. This positive enthusiasm
will also go on to affect your customers, your suppliers
and your employees.

Knowledge and skills:

Apprentices are demanding. Training them encourages
your company to bring its skills and know-how up to date and also
motivates your employees to update and develop further their own professional skills and knowledge.

Energy:

Young people bring real added value
to your company through their spontaneity, their
energy and their enthusiasm.

By training apprentices you reinforce
the reputation and image of your company:
happy apprentices are good publicity for your company
when they talk about their training to their parents and friends who
then in turn come to recommend your products or services.

You come to know your apprentices
very well during their apprenticeship thus minimising
the risk of making a wrong decision when it comes to hiring
your employees.

Young people who gain qualifications

company. Often they will rejoin your company at some
later date bringing with them valuable profession experience
acquired elsewhere: New know-how, New techniques….

When training apprentices you can often
benefit from the very qualities that young people
often bring with them: openness to new ideas, creativity,
contributing ideas, concepts and new solutions. In fact, just some
of the advantages that help your company be a success!

commitment to quality that benefits your company, even
more so since any apprentice can today, once he or she has gained
the professional Maturité certificate, go on to attend one of the HES (Hautes Ecoles Spécialisées/Specialist Higher Institutions) where training is at university level.

Un soutien aux entreprises formatrices

A la rentrée 2011, près de 60 entreprises sont soutenues par un coach d'Interface Entreprises pour la formation de 65 apprenti-e-s.

Stage tremplin vers l'emploi ?

Notre table ronde du Salon RH 2011 animée par Serge Guertchakoff, journaliste à Bilan, a réuni plus de 80 personnes le 5 octobre autour du thème "Le stage tremplin vers l'emploi ou prétexte pour des emplois bon marché ?" Valérie Mégevand, RRH aux HUG, Françoise Weber, secrétaire syndicale au SIT et René W. Gisiger, DRH chez Caterpillar, ont d'exprimé leur point de vue sur l'importance des conditions-cadres des stages en entreprise.

Rapide-Contrat

Durant les mois de juin à août 2011, en intervenant directement auprès des entreprises et futur-e-s apprenti-e-s, Interface Entreprises a facilité la constitution de plus de 400 dossiers d'apprentissage. La rentré scolaire genevoise s'est ainsi soldée par une augmentation importante des nouveaux contrats en dépassant les 2300 selon l'OFPC.
